PING signs college standout Jacob Modleski to NIL Agreement
PHOENIX (November 6, 2026) – Notre Dame senior and former Walker Cup player Jacob Modleski has signed an agreement to represent PING, company CEO & President John K. Solheim announced today.
The 21-year-old native of Noblesville, Indiana, is a four-year starter for the Fighting Irish and has distinguished himself as one of Notre Dame’s top golfers in school history. In 2024-25 as a sophomore, he set the university’s scoring-average record of 68.5 in a season that saw him become the school’s first player to win the ACC Championship and compete in the Walker Cup. He counts two other tournament victories in his career, the Johnnie O at Sea Island title as a freshman and the Schenkel Invitational in the spring of 2026. In 2025, he earned 2nd Team All-America honors and was All-ACC his last two years. Since enrolling at Notre Dame, Jacob has led the Notre Dame men’s golf team in GPA in every semester since the fall of 2023.
Jacob was also a member of TEAM USA at the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2025 and 2026, with a 7-2-1 record as an individual. In 2024, he won the Jones Cup, a prestigious amateur event after earning a last-minute spot in the field as the first alternate.
“We’ve followed Jacob’s amateur journey very closely the last few years,” said Solheim. “He’s twice made it to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur and played a key role in the United States’ Walker Cup victory in 2025, earning two points in his matches. That says a lot about his desire and talent to perform when the pressure is highest. He’s shown remarkable consistency in his four years at Notre Dame, and we look forward to tracking his progress as he completes his senior year and prepares to take the next step in his career.”
As part of the agreement, Modleski will play PING clubs, carry a PING bag and wear a PING hat in all tournaments and appearances outside of his collegiate events.
“I’m proud to represent PING as a collegiate golfer,” said Modleski. “I’ve been fortunate to visit the PING campus and experience everything it has to offer, from their team’s unmatched engineering reputation to their expertise in custom fitting and building the highest-performing clubs in the game. I’ve played PING equipment since I was a junior golfer. Their knowledge and commitment to innovation help give me the confidence I need in my equipment to keep getting better as I pursue my goals. They take a very personal approach to every relationship, and I’m excited to be part of the PING family.”
Financial terms and the length of the agreement were not disclosed.
