Lebioda and Chatfield Shine in Start of Korn Ferry Tour Season
March 20, 2025 – The Road to the PGA Tour is Heating Up
The 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season is off to a thrilling start, and two players making waves early on are Hank Lebioda and Davis Chatfield. Both golfers have turned in impressive performances through the opening events, positioning themselves as top contenders for PGA Tour cards in 2026.

Lebioda, a seasoned pro with five seasons of PGA Tour experience, has been dominant in the early stretch of the season. The Florida State alum has already notched four top-10 finishes in the first six events of the season, including a win at the Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island. His consistency off the tee and refined short game have been key factors in his resurgence, and he’s currently sitting #1 on the Points List. At the end of the 2025 season, the #1 player on the Korn Ferry Tour points list will have full-status on the PGA TOUR including starts at the 2026 Players Championship and 2026 US OPEN.

“I’m feeling really confident in my game right now,” Lebioda said recently. “The work I’ve put in during the offseason is paying off, and my goal is to secure my spot back on the PGA Tour for 2026.”

Meanwhile, Davis Chatfield, a rising talent from Rhode Island, has been a revelation in his third full season on the Korn Ferry Tour. The former Notre Dame standout has made an immediate impact, recording three Top 10 finishes and showing flashes of brilliance with his iron play and putting. His career-best finish came at the Astara Chile Classic presented by ScotiaBank, where he posted a solo second place finish.”

“This is the level I’ve always wanted to compete at, and I feel like my game is in a great place,” Chatfield said. “The goal is to keep improving every week and put myself in position to earn that PGA Tour card.”
As the season progresses, both Lebioda and Chatfield will look to maintain their momentum and finish inside the coveted top 20 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, which guarantees PGA Tour status for 2026. With strong starts under their belts, the future is looking bright for these two rising stars.
The road to the PGA Tour is never easy, but if their early-season form is any indication, Lebioda and Chatfield are well on their way to making a lasting impact at golf’s highest level.
