SwingU Setting Records in 2023; Surpasses 7 Million Registered Users

HARTFORD – SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced that the company’s flagship product, the SwingU golf game-improvement app, surpassed 7 million lifetime registered users in July 2023. Fidelity Sports Group serves as an advisor to SwingU’s CEO and executive team with a focus on brand positioning, strategic partnerships and marketing.

Since January 2023, SwingU users have logged more than 5.5 million rounds of golf on the app, which is available for both iOS and Android users. New registered users of the app were up 40% year-over-year for the first half of the year, and SwingU is on track to have its biggest year ever in terms of new registered users of the app, outpacing the golf boom of 2020.

SwingU has been at the forefront of golfers’ minds this year as a result of the company introducing a number of new product innovations and features within the app including:

  • A significant Apple Watch update that provided additional performance and reliability enhancements such as improved GPS responsiveness and better connectivity between the iPhone and Watch.
  • An enhanced ability to track and analyze a user’s game-improvement journey thanks to a more player-friendly Home Screen, which provided an easy view of key data about their game and navigation to core parts of the app.
  • The unveiling of an industry-leading web-based stats experience. This enormous upgrade, available to users at app.swingu.com, provided access to Tour-level data and analysis for all users, and most specifically enhanced the user experience for SwingU Pro subscribers.
  • In addition to technical enhancements, an all-new Performance Practice Guide video library, which features gamified practice routines that bring focus and pressure to otherwise mundane sessions, was unveiled this summer.

With more ideation and innovation than ever before, SwingU is primed to continue its record-setting run throughout the remainder of 2023 and into 2024.
